Took off from Gravesend, flight of 2x Spitfire 1a 100 octane - headed West to chase 5x Bombers, 40 miles away.
On the way, a flight of 3x BF110 aircraft was seen, engaged and shot down. Confirmed.
1740 hours
Landed at Shoreham to re-arm and re-fuel.
My plane had damaged wheel brakes - but nothing to hinder the airframe in flight.
1745 hours
Took off from Shoreham, spotted 3x Do215's inland - engaged 2 and downed both. Confirmed.
Fatal Error suffered damage causing vibrations, we both landed at Wilmington for tea and medals.
1800 hours Officers Mess for Debrief.
