July 19th, no one around, saw on radar bombers at 20k nearing London, had to scramble alone.
wanted to try 2 Oclock/10 Oclock ahead of bombers, S turn into them to attack from the side.
failed miserably at this technique.
Still claimed 4 Dorniers,
Shot to hell, wounded, tried landing anywhere, flaps & gear failed...
But, as in opposition to my 7/18 report/landing at Shoreham
I am hoping my CO will approve of my landing...
