Synopsis:

1622 hrs left Gravesend bomber intercept 237° 9 miles 8k. Spotted Targets within 2 min. @ 1 oclock high. Climbed to intercept closed on far left aircraft now identified as Ju 88's.
Opend fire at 600 yards Scratch 1 Ju 88,Rudder slid to slow approch and slide in behind #2 to the right, wind gustjust as I was about to fire, had to reposition. Repositioned closed to 600 opend fire scratch #2. Once again rudder slid into position just out of return fire range on the # 3 and Suddenly yellow tracers whipping past my wing 109 on my tail, Split S to the Right and Dove to the dirt 8,000 ft. below. Aircraft reached around 349 mph shaking like crazy but the bandit was left far behind, reaquired bombers and the fighter adjusted heading to match bombers and now eyes glued on fighter!
Since this guy was clearly not going to stop his attack I formulated a low altitude trap just for him since he was alone. I waited until he was on his attack run and started a lazy left turn
watching him slowly close the distance as he was just out of range I increased the turn by about 3/4 of what ole Four to Score had in her and easily out turned the 109. He went up and forulated a second attack just like the first, as the ground limited his choices for action. once again down he came and I again started the lazy turn. This time however I had a manuver up my sleeve just for him. as he closed to where he was almost in range I again started my 3/4 pull to outturn him. This time however I rolled the old girl all the way under and pulled back on the stick into a barrel roll and voila' now what you gonna do Jerry? I fored a short burst and as Black knight says "He has no wing!" Low on ammo 3 rabbits in the sack I returned home to graves end for Beer and Cookies.
