Synopsis (Optional):
While on CAP patrol near Manston, we encountered a flight of HE 111's PL engaged the left side while I engaged the right side.
PL shot and collided with a 111 bomber which broke apart. He safely parachuted to the ground. On my second pass, a 111 gunner shot my oil line. I made one more pass and then returned to Manston airfield.
Upon landing, my landing gear collapsed and I bellied in. I must have suffered some battle damage to my underside.
