How I flamed a 109 in a Hurricane, or Mackers mowing the grass...

Nice, oppurtunities like that are superb to take advantage of chap!

I was shot to hell and pretty much pinned to the tree tops, anytime I tried to extend or gain height - I got dived on.  Spent more time looking backwards than forwards Smile

Wait a sec,
I always thought hugging terrain was suicide!

But watching this, it seems every time you mowed the grass,
the following 109 gave up the chase!

Is this a possible loophole to dealing with AI's?

It changes the fight into a more 2D encounter, in which I spend more time looking over my shoulder than looking forwards.  The AI will have a conflict of interest between diving to shoot me and avoiding the ground.  Sometimes they get faaaar too carried away and lawn-dart into the ground in spectacular fashion - other times they pull up - depends on the sanity level of the pilot and situation etc.

In the long run, if it is just AI - you will get the odd oppurtunity to strike back at an AI's botched pass with a quick burst of fire.  Other times, the flak will have a better target presented.

If it's players - it doesn't work as well - but if you are all out of options - there are worse things to do.

Note:  Check where the radio mast is - it really ends your flight swiftly when you are watching behind you more than looking where you are going Blush

I am used to flying backwards as I often sit at the Blennie's rear gun
and use my joystick plane control to aim the guns. (the regular interface sucks!)

It would make flying through the open hangers a bit more interesting tho...

(Hmm, I might be  day dreaming)

You know that wind sock on a stick sometimes found at the end of the runway,
well, Fatal calls it the Dave pole...
