For some reason, I cannot get myself to break off
once I am in attack mode...

(until I get a boo boo...)

Third sortie of 11/20/19 had me chasing Stukas,
I would not call it a mistake,
(& if you see more mistakes feel free to chime in...)
but the classic attack on a Stuka from underneath to avoid his top gunner,
combined with slowing down to maintain position,
leaves you with a very (mushy?)  firing position.

Dang it, I was all over the place because my plane was almost in a stall!

He got my Oil Rad. & I had to abort...

Big mistake here was shutting down the fuel cocks before the landing gear was locked!

I thought the wind thru the prop would be enough to keep the engine turning
enough to lower the gear, but I was wrong...

but I was in constant communication with TWC the whole time.

See, Some New Guy backed me up,
& Fatal was nearby...

(Jeez, I would not even attempt this if Fatal wasn't nearby...)

No, my mistake was
Rads not fully open!

Note that my instruments indicated all was hunky dory,
but one freakin' second of slow overturn was enough to blow the rads
before the instruments could even respond!

You can max the prop! If  & only if you Max the Rads!
(Boost will give you a flame out in these situations)
( boost is great if you are cooking a chicken on your engine...)

Anywho...

Nobody was on...

So I figured, a couple of easy kills to get me a Spit!

God damn Campagne Server did me in again!
(I'll be flyin this Hurricane forever...)

The other thing is this,
when I 1st watched (&flew) this, there was no fire!
either inside or out on the replay...

So I set up BandiCam to capture me flying along
wondering why I am turning red...
The funny part was, when I bailed out, you could then see my seat was on fire!

Hilarious!

However when I reran the track file to tape it, now the fire was there...
why I dunno,

All I know is I never saw him hit me,
I never saw the fire,
& I will never see that dang Spittie at this rate!
