Hey Folks,
I got invited in while the site was down, so I thought I should at least introduce myself.
My name is Roberto, I'm 42 and still gaming every day. I've always had a passing interest in flight sims, buying some Jane's on the amiga as a 10 year old. Ofcourse I thought it would be like X-wing so when I saw the manual I gave it a try, but ultimately failed.
Over the course of my life I've tried more sims, but not until I tried in VR did I get the drive to actually want to learn how to fly, as opposed to playing a game.
I've learned to fly the FW190 Dora in DCS and would love to continue that, but sadly the WW2 content is lacking and VR visibility is pretty bad.
So here I am in IL-2, love the vibe, hate that I can't press buttons and crank levers.
I have weeks of experience under my belt and about 2 hours of PVP (or 2 minutes of actual encounters).
So it boils down to you now have an old dog trying to learn new tricks, but we'll have a laugh nonetheless!
